Hey! Nice to e-meet you! I’m Nikita - an opportunist, creative, explorer, and connector. Nikita is derived from greek and slavic origins, meaning “unconquered”. This resonates with my drive to explore this unconquered world, to find off-the-path boutique hotels, connect to local vendors and artisans, and share my journey along the way!

Sometimes in Toronto, but mostly someplace else. I believe home is where your people are - and while most of mine are in TO, many are around the globe. My love for travel and exploring is connected to the people I meet along the way. Understanding how others live and work, what makes them tick, what their everyday looks like, and so on. I’m here to share the small businesses I come across and the art behind boutique hotels, their origins, design, and hospitality. 

Travelling a lot of the time can mean disappearing and disconnecting. While that is needed sometimes, I’m trying to dive in, immerse myself in new cultures, be so connected to locals that I have to come back up for air. 95% of the ocean is undiscovered and what if there’s a natural wine bar somewhere down there?
